Site Information

The installation and use of certain fuel burning appliances and flammable liquid storage equipment require a permit issued by the Fire Department. Additionally, permits for blasting, fireworks display, as well as certificates for smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide detection equipment are also obtained from the Fire Department.

Permits for the open burning of brush are issued and are exempt from fees or inspection, but have restrictions which must be followed.

To obtain the proper permit application please contact the Granville Fire Department at (413) 357-8585 ext 9.

Monday - Friday: 9AM to 5PM
Saturday - Sunday: Closed

 

Permits are issued by the Fire Department under direction of the State Fire Marshal as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 148.

NO PERMIT IS VALID UNTIL SIGNED BY THE CHIEF OR HIS DESIGNEE OF THE GRANVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
